Hi, I’m Kelly.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Long Beach, California. I work with adults and teens (12+) who are navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

I'm also a mom, which means I understand firsthand how messy, overwhelming, and meaningful life can be. I don't come to this work from a textbook alone — I bring lived experience, cultural awareness, and a deep belief that everyone deserves to be heard without judgment.

As a Latina therapist, I'm intentional about creating a space where your full self is welcome. Therapy shouldn't feel clinical, confusing, or disconnected from your real life. Your culture, your identity, and your story aren't things to work around — they're central to the work we do together.

I'm especially committed to supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients in feeling seen, respected, and safe. This is a space where we can explore not just what you're going through, but also the larger context shaping your experience.

My Approach

Culturally Responsive Care

I approach therapy with an awareness that our experiences don't exist in a vacuum. Culture, identity, and systems all shape how we move through the world.

As a Latina therapist, I'm intentional about creating a space where your full identity is seen and respected. This includes supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients in feeling safe, understood, and not pathologized for their lived experiences.

One-size-doesn’t-fit-all. I draw from different approaches, but more importantly, I focus on creating a space that feels collaborative, grounded, and real.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is woven throughout our work together — not in a rigid or intimidating way, but in a way that helps you slow down and actually notice what's going on inside.

Over time, this can help you respond to your thoughts and emotions with more awareness and self-compassion, instead of feeling stuck in automatic patterns.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

We'll gently explore the thought patterns and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck.

CBT gives us practical tools to shift those patterns — not by forcing positivity, but by helping you see things more clearly and respond in ways that actually support you.

What You Can Expect

  • No judgment. Ever. You don't have to filter yourself here. Whatever you're carrying, we can make space for it together — without shame or pressure.

  • A collaborative process. This is your life and your experience. I'm not here to tell you who to be — I'm here to walk alongside you as we figure out what actually works for you.

  • Tools you can use in real life. Therapy isn't just about talking things through. We'll build practical tools — like grounding practices, ways to work with your thoughts, and mindfulness skills — that you can take with you between sessions.

  • A sense of emotional safety. At the core of my work is the belief that real change happens when you feel genuinely seen and accepted. From there, things begin to shift in a way that feels more natural and lasting.
